Treatments and Timing:

For optimal response acupuncture & integrative therapies are recommended before the start of a medicated/ IUI cycle.

For an IVF retrieval cycle acupuncture & integrative therapies are optimally started 3-4 months prior to egg capture. This length of time is based upon positively influencing the development and healthy maturation of the eggs.

For a Frozen IVF cycle acupuncture & integrative therapies should be continued after a retrieval cycle or 8 weeks prior to transfer to prepare the body for a healthy pregnancy and optimal uterine health. Pre & Post transfer day acupuncture, which includes an acupuncture treatment right before and right after the embryo transfer at your fertility clinic is also highly recommended.

Follow assisted reproductive treatments with acupuncture once a week, and if pregnant continue acupuncture 1-2 times per week for the first 12 weeks.

There is benefit to starting acupuncture at any point in the process. It is never too late.

Every treatment plan, established by our practitioners, are tailored to the individual based on health history, calendar with the fertility clinic, and what will lead to the most success.
