What type of facials do you have?

I think skincare should be simple, therefore I offer two facials at ilumina Healing Sanctuary.

The ilumina Signature Facial and The Facial Plus+.
Both facials include a luxurious deep cleanse, light steam, soothing enzyme exfoliation, peels, gentle yet thorough extractions, nourishing facial massage, and a triple layered, custom healing mask! Depending on the client’s skin during the time of treatment, I may use other skin modalities such as jade roller, gua-sha, ice rollers or collagen mask.

The Facial Plus + is the Signature Facial with addition of the Ultrasonic Spatula.

Ultrasonic Spatula takes a little more time to use during the treatment and offers a deeper form of exfoliation and also assists in penetrating product deeper into the skin. It also has a lifting and contouring effect..

A warm hand treatment is always included with both facials.


What do you like about offering skincare at ilumina?

I LOVE that I work within an Acupuncture Clinic. It fits in perfectly with my core belief that the health of our skin is a reflection of the health of our body. Most skin conditions such as acne and rosacea are heat in the body. That is why we see inflammation/redness in the skin. Proper nutrition, acupuncture, and the correct skincare product, all work together to address the root cause to sooth, calm and balance the body as a whole. I’ll always do my best to manage certain skin issues, but sometimes we must look at the whole body for long term skin health. It’s all connected.

What skincare products do you use in your treatments?‍

I custom blend my own skincare using professional grade, plant-based ingredients. I’ve been formulating my own skincare since 2001. I have many years of experience working with all types of skin; from acne, rosacea & hyperpigmentation, to dry dehydrated/normal skin. I’ve also used many different strengths of skincare from organic to medical grade. I have found there is a time to use organic and a time to use something stronger, depending on the client’s situation. The biggest misconception about organic skincare is that it is better for your skin. This is only partially true. Who would want to put chemicals on their skin daily? However, not all chemicals are bad for your skin. Water is a chemical! It’s about understanding if the products are PH balanced and work for your particular skin condition.

My approach to healthy skin is to always treat the skin with natural/safe ingredients.
My goal is to give your skin results!

What sets your skincare services that sets your skincare services apart from other skincare products
I offer true customization in my treatments and skincare products. I stir, blend and mix different ingredients based on each client’s needs. You can’t get my products anywhere else and each client has their own formulation if/when needed.

My treatments & skincare are designed to be safe for Pregnant women and women going through fertility treatments. Most often I am able to calm skin issues from certain fertility medications and hormonal changes.
