As the newest member of the ilumina team, I would like to introduce myself. Hello! I’m Jacqueline Gabardy. I am an acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in reproductive and hormone health. I recently relocated to Phoenix from Los Angeles, where I ran my own clinic for 12 years.
In terms of school, received my Bachelor’s degree at USC, and my Master’s from Dongguk University, Los Angeles. More recently I decided to expand my skill set by becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist as well. I did this because, while I felt I had a very comprehensive education of the inner workings of the body, there were gaps in kinesiology and sports medicine that I felt could be filled in. And of course it only helped to improve the proficiency of my bodywork, cupping, and guasha.
I first became interested in Chinese medicine because of my own struggles with painful and irregular menstrual cycles, and it became my passion to share this incredibly effective medicine with as many people as possible. My job is incredibly rewarding, especially getting to be a part of so many people’s journey to and throughout parenthood.
I have helped hundreds of people to conceive, both with and without Assisted Reproductive Technology, such as IVF. I often continue to support these patients through their pregnancy and postpartum period for issues such as early pregnancy nausea, breech presentation, and lactation supply issues. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I also love to help other members of the community conceive or otherwise feel supported in their hormonal health.
In addition to fertility and pregnancy, I also love to treat hormonal imbalances and pain conditions. For example, PCOS, painful and/or irregular cycles, PMS/PMDD, menopause and perimenopause; also pain in cases of sprains/strains/fractures, herniated discs, pinched nerves, or more systemic issues such as fibromyalgia, MS, EDS, or inflammatory conditions.
No matter what you’re looking to address, I’m ready to listen. Book an acupuncture appointment with me, and if we are addressing any pain, I recommend including the massage add-on as well.
