Mental Health Series 1: Calmvera for Stress and Restlessness

In recognition of National Maternal Mental Health week in May, we have created a collection of recommendations from our practitioners on some things that anyone can do to help support their mental health.

For the first on this series, Dr. Dana Price has a unique service that we offer at ilumina that you won’t find many other places.

There are those times when the pressure of life can get overwhelming. When you clearly see that you are stressed: a bit irritable, over thinking, and not sleeping well. These are times when we need nourishment, stillness, and rest. I am a whole hearted believer in meditation and have experienced times where my nervous system is too wound up to sit with my thoughts.

So what do I do in a situation like this? My go to for myself and our patients at ilumina is incorporating the homeopathic injection called Calmvera to specific acupuncture points that realign the body’s energy and balance the nervous system. Calmvera is a homeopathic compound used to treat restlessness, insomnia, mild depression, and mental exhaustion. It can be administered into acupoints at the end of an acupuncture treatment or on its own one to three times a week.

I have seen such positive results with using Calmvera and hope you consider trying it when your stress levels start to rise. It can be a powerful reset. Calmvera injections are offered by multiple practitioners at ilumina so do not hesitate to ask if you are interested.
