Business Intro:
Molly Dean earned her Masters Degree at Arizona State University and specializes in Maternal Mental Health including postpartum depression and anxiety, Infertility, Trauma (PTSD), mood disorders, low self esteem, body image, and relationship issues. She currently has a telehealth based practice.
Please tell us about your business?
I own a local business called A New Path Psychotherapy Services, offering one on one telemedicine therapy appointments and I also facilitate a once a month Infertility support group for women offered by an organization called Fruitful. Because of my personal experiences, I feel passionately about helping those struggling with infertility, birth trauma, and postpartum depression/anxiety.
How and why did you start it?
I started my practice 12 years ago and currently work with women experiencing the pain and loss of miscarriage and infertility(both primary and secondary, have experienced birth trauma, and/ or are experiencing postpartum issues.)
What have you learned along the way?
I have learned that there are many women who struggle with anxiety and depression after birth or who have experienced birth trauma, infertility and/or miscarriage. My mission is to use my education, wisdom, experiences and voice to educate people about the pain of these common occurrences so we can better support women during these times.
How can your business benefit our patient base?
Supporting one’s mental health while going through infertility, pregnancy, miscarriage or mental health struggles is essential to being the best person and parent/partner/friend/employee you can be. My history of infertility and the long path to pregnancy gives me the unique perspective of understanding the treatments and journey.
Anything else you would like to add?
My intention is to help women get the help that they need sooner rather than later. Since I have been a part of the community for many years I have a lot of resources to direct women to if I am unable to fit their needs.
